Onus Studio is a small jewelry studio which specializes in creating limited runs of solid sterling silver, 10k, and 14k gold designs, founded in 2018 by Bernie Anderson. Her work playfully interprets a variety of subjects - from the forms of the natural world, historical adornments, to objects we interact with everyday. Her design style is minimal and organic, yet lends to anthropomorphic details which create a character from each sketch. The resulting jewelry is an expression of boundless imagination that reflects her fun loving nature.

Onus jewelry combines light hearted, whimsical designs with serious dedication to a mindful studio practice. All pieces are crafted using traditional techniques such as hand carving and lost wax casting. The gems and pearls used are thoughtfully sourced and recycled metal is used when possible. Onus is committed to slowly and intentionally creating as a way to limit waste, and pledges to continue to edit studio practices to become more sustainable. 

Every Onus piece is a labor of love, made to retain the evidence of the imperfectly curious being who made it. The jewelry that results stands alone in its expression and will last many lifetimes.
